For Renz Bernardo, the journey began in 2017 when he joined a Passion Sports Training Camp in Valenzuela City. Like many young athletes, he arrived with a dream and a love for the game. What he may not have realized then was that this small step would become the beginning of a remarkable basketball journey.
Through the years, Renz committed himself to the process. From training camps to the PASSION Elite Team Program, he embraced every opportunity to learn, improve and compete. He spent countless hours developing his skills, building discipline and preparing himself for bigger challenges ahead.
But Renz did not walk this journey alone.
Behind every practice, every game and every milestone was the unwavering support of his family. Through the long days, sacrifices, challenges, victories and setbacks, his family remained his constant source of strength and encouragement. Their belief in his potential helped him stay focused on his goals and continue moving forward whenever the journey became difficult.
As his game continued to grow, opportunities followed.
His development opened doors to play for Jose Rizal University, where he gained valuable collegiate experience and continued maturing as both a player and a person. He later moved on to San Sebastian College-Recoletos, further expanding his experience against high-level competition.
Today, Renz proudly represents Centro Escolar University and recently achieved another major milestone as part of a UCAL Championship team.
From a young camper in Valenzuela City to a collegiate champion, Renz’s story is proof that dreams become possible when passion is matched by hard work, perseverance and the support of people who believe in you.
