Every athlete has a story, but behind every successful athlete is a family that never stopped believing and a community that continued to support the journey.
Prince Cariño started pursuing his passion for basketball at just nine years old. What began as a young boy’s love for the game became a journey filled with discipline, sacrifice and countless hours of hard work. Success did not happen overnight. It was built one practice, one lesson and one challenge at a time.

Hailing from the province of Cavite, Prince was blessed with great potential, particularly his height and athletic ability. But talent alone was never the reason for his success. His parents especially his father Gerard Cariño a former NCAA player for the Arellano Chiefs made countless sacrifices throughout his journey. From bringing him to practices and games to providing guidance and unwavering support, they believed in his dream through every stage of his development.
There were moments when recognition did not come immediately but neither Prince nor his family rushed the process. They chose patience over shortcuts, development over instant results and faith over doubt. They trusted that hard work, consistency and perseverance would eventually be rewarded.
Today, Prince stands as a two-time SEABA Champion and a UAAP Champion, a testament to what dedication, family support and commitment can accomplish. His success is not simply measured by trophies and championships but by the character he built and the lessons he learned along the way.
His story serves as an inspiration to every young athlete who is still waiting for their opportunity. Keep working. Keep learning. Keep believing. Your time will come.
On behalf of the entire Passion family, we are incredibly proud of Prince and all of his former teammates who shared this journey with him. We still remember the young athletes who trained, competed, learned and dreamed together. Seeing one of our own reach the highest levels of Philippine basketball is a reminder that dreams are possible when matched with hard work and the right support system.
Watching our athletes grow from young dreamers into champions is one of our greatest blessings. Their achievements are not only victories for themselves and their families but also a source of inspiration for the next generation of players who continue to trust the process and pursue excellence.

We celebrate Prince’s success with gratitude and pride knowing that this is only another milestone in what we believe will be an even greater journey ahead. His story is proof that the path to success is rarely easy but it is always worth it for those who stay committed to their goals.
Congratulations, Prince! Your Passion family will always be cheering for you and supporting you every step of the way.
